After Sheriff John T. Boyd posted on the county sheriff’s Facebook page about the successes of Operation Boo, IFA took to enlightening the citizenry with whole lot of truth, while skipping the fear propaganda and scare tactics. However, once we made our public point under the protections of the Federal Constitution, it wasn’t too long after the freedom hating sheriff pulled the plug on public comments. In one motion he fully disabled a citizen’s ability to publicly disagree with the Facebook articles his merry clan of armed thugs post.
Indiana Freedom Alliance was the primary reason for the Sheriff’s decision to remove every citizen’s right to post public comments and dissenting opinions. Why? IFA had exposed the La Porte County Police as the fear mongers and muckrakers that they are. Their yellow journalism on Facebook is only meant to harass and frighten, as well as manipulate, citizens in to thinking that law enforcement is their friend, their protector, and a badge toting organization to be trusted, not mistrusted. In the “Operation Boo” article, the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office attempted to continue to stir public animosity and distrust, in a calculated effort to fuel public hatred for registered citizens in its jurisdiction. Of course, IFA responded in a public opinion rebuke that members of law enforcement are molesting – both physically and sexually – Indiana’s children, and pushing a fear campaign that is not backed up with facts, but with false allegations and misleading stereotypes. We backed up our allegations and dissenting opinions with facts – nothing but the facts. This was met, not with open tolerance for freedom of speech, but with an orchestrated effort to cyberbully the mouth of pubic dissent shut.
Today, we are a united front – IFA is embarking on a bold, fearless public campaign to snatch back our cherished freedoms from the tyrannical grip of our mistrusted law enforcement throughout Indiana!
Update: The La Porte County Sheriff’s office has returned to the citizens of La Porte county the ability to submit public opinions once more.
